1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Loadout Ready ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit loadoutready.com, make a purchase, contact us, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell to you. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases, and application on secure servers behind a firewall.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information you give us:

Category Examples
Identifiers Name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, account username
Commercial information Products viewed and purchased, order history, cart contents, wishlist items, returns, customer service records
Payment information Card type, last four digits, billing address, transaction amount. We do not store full payment card numbers — these are collected and processed directly by our payment processors
Age and eligibility information Your confirmation that you are 18 or older; where legally required, a government-issued ID or signed compliance certification for restricted products
Communications Emails, chat messages, SMS, product reviews, survey responses, contest entries
Marketing preferences Email and SMS subscription status, preferences, engagement

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, screen resolution, time zone, language)
  • Usage information (pages viewed, referring URL, search terms used on our site, clicks, session duration, add-to-cart events)
  • Cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies

Information from third parties:

  • Order, fraud-screening, and analytics data from Shopify and our payment processors
  • Shipping and delivery status from carriers
  • Engagement data from email, SMS, and advertising platforms
  • Information from social media platforms if you interact with us there

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or racial, religious, or biometric data) and we do not ask you to provide it. Where a restricted-product sale legally requires us to verify identity or military/government status, we collect only what the law requires and retain it only as long as required.

3. How We Use Personal Information

  • Process, fulfill, ship, and track your orders, and handle returns and refunds
  • Verify your age and eligibility to purchase regulated products, and comply with shipping restrictions
  • Communicate with you about orders, shipping, and customer service
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, chargebacks, and unauthorized transactions
  • Send marketing communications you have opted into, and measure their effectiveness
  • Personalize your experience, including product recommendations and recently viewed items
  • Analyze and improve our site, merchandising, inventory, and customer experience
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax, recordkeeping, and product-regulation requirements
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of our customers

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember your cart and preferences, measure traffic, and — where permitted — deliver relevant advertising.

Categories we use:

  • Strictly necessary — cart, checkout, login, security, fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional — preferences, language, recently viewed items.
  • Analytics — how visitors find and use the site (e.g., Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics).
  • Advertising and retargeting — measuring and serving ads across other platforms (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel), where enabled.

Your choices: You can manage cookies through our cookie banner (where displayed), through your browser settings, or by using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break checkout.

You may also opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, for the business purposes described above:

  • Ecommerce platform: Shopify (hosting, order management, checkout)
  • Payment processors: Shopify Payments, and additional processors such as PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and buy-now-pay-later providers, as offered at checkout. Their own privacy policies govern their handling of your payment data.
  • Shipping and logistics: USPS, UPS, FedEx, and shipping-protection or tracking providers
  • Marketing and communications: email and SMS platforms, review platforms
  • Analytics and advertising: analytics and ad-network providers
  • Fraud prevention and identity verification: fraud-screening and age-verification providers
  • Professional advisors: accountants, attorneys, auditors
  • Authorities: law enforcement, regulators, or courts where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others
  • Business transfers: an acquirer, successor, or assignee in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

We require service providers to use personal information only to perform services for us.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and other state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our site, by enabling GPC, or by emailing us.

We have not sold or shared the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

6. Marketing Communications

Email: If you subscribe or make a purchase, we may send you promotional email. Unsubscribe using the link in any message or by emailing us. You will still receive transactional messages about your orders.

SMS: If you opt into text messages, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes — typically:

  • Order and transaction records: at least 7 years (tax and accounting requirements)
  • Restricted-product compliance records: as long as required by applicable law
  • Account information: while your account is active, plus a reasonable period after
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression period so we can honor your opt-out
  • Analytics and ad data: per the retention settings of each provider

We then delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including TLS encryption in transit, PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing, access controls, and limiting staff access to what is necessary. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of recipients
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (we must retain transaction and compliance records)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Portability — receive a copy in a portable format
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights
  • Appeal a denial of a request, where your state provides that right

California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially similar rights under their own statutes.

How to exercise your rights: Email loadoutready@gmail.com with the subject line Privacy Request, or use the privacy request form on our site. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide against our records — typically your email address and order details. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days with notice.

Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written, signed permission; we may still verify your identity directly.

Shine the Light (California Civil Code § 1798.83): California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. Send requests to the email above.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Sites

Our site may link to third-party sites, brand pages, or social platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

12. Visitors Outside the United States

We operate in the United States and ship only within the U.S. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to them, so we do not respond to DNT signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide more prominent notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
